1997 / 98 1st Year Sweet Sorghum Trial

Zimbabwe CFC Project (August 1997 to July 2000)

5 ha of sweet sorghum (predominantly cv. Keller) where grown at Chiredzi Research Station under drip and sprinkler irrigation. Planting occurred during the last two weeks of November 1998 and harvesting and crushing occurred during mid-March 1998 using the 66" mill at Triangle Ltd, located in SE Zimbabwe. The juice extracted during the crushing was not used for fermentation as the crushing took place during the mill startup test-runs.
